Brooke and Noah’s story began in late 2019 at a pool in Maui when two strangers struck up a friendly conversation while on vacation. During this conversation between Brooke’s mom, Heidi, and Noah’s step-mom, Sandy, the first domino fell. Heidi revealed that her daughter Brooke lived in Chicago while Sandy eagerly shared that her step-son Noah was about to move there. This timeless encounter between strangers quickly turned into a classic "We should set our kids up" conversation. Little did they know, their chance meeting in the pool that fateful day would change the course of their families’ lives forever.
Brooke and Noah learned of this new “vacation friendship” and initially thought nothing of it. After a bit of Facebook sleuthing, Noah agreed to reach out to Brooke and arrange their first date once he officially moved to Chicago in early 2020. On the night of their first date, unbeknownst to them, Noah and Brooke were in the same building, on the same floor, just down the hall from one another, both getting ready for the big night. While Brooke was picking out one of her signature all-black outfits, Noah was settling his pre-date jitters with a couple of beers with his friends Brian and Sam. The nerves quickly disappeared, with their first date at Arbella in River North lasting many hours and ending with a late-night visit to Bub City for some live music and dancing. Dates two and three came in rapid succession, and it became clear early on that their connection was special.
As luck would have it, only a few weeks into dating, the world came to a halt due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Brooke met Daniel, Noah's dad, and Sandy during the initial lockdown, providing an unexpected early opportunity to meet her future in-laws. Soon after, Noah drove all the way to Omaha, Nebraska, where he spent 10 days with Brooke, Heidi, and Brooke’s Dad, Scott. Within hours of arriving in Omaha, and still only weeks into their relationship, Noah met the entire extended Meyerson/Schneiderman clan. As the pandemic eased, Brooke met the rest of Noah’s family, including his mom, Julie, and stepfather, Mark.
Fast forward three years, and Brooke and Noah moved into their new apartment together in the West Loop neighborhood. A little over a year later, Noah proposed in front of Brooke’s favorite bridge, sealing their love story with an unforgettable memory. Brooke and Noah can’t wait to welcome family and friends to Omaha for the celebration of their love!
